Why We Exist
The problem I saw
For three years I’ve been building enterprise software systems at KEMRI Wellcome Trust — one of East Africa’s most respected research institutions. I’ve worked on systems that process thousands of data points daily, manage complex workflows, and integrate with global infrastructure.
But I’d look at the businesses around me in Kilifi — the beach hotels, the diving centres, the tour operators — and see the same thing: WhatsApp chats going unanswered, websites that didn’t show up on Google, zero online booking systems, cash recorded in notebooks. Millions of shillings left on the table every month.
The tech existed. M-PESA and Pesapal integration are straightforward. WhatsApp bots are buildable in days. Local SEO for Kilifi is far less competitive than Nairobi. The problem wasn’t the technology — it was that no one was bringing it to the Coast affordably, backed by someone who actually knew what they were doing.
SuperTech Nomads is my answer to that gap. Enterprise-grade tech, local pricing, Coast Kenya presence — and our own AI hardware stack (RTX 3070, Ollama, n8n) for on-site demos and local model deployment.
